65th and 151st Mechanized Brigades Reassigned Between Army Corps

The 65th Mechanized Brigade and the 151st Mechanized Brigade have switched parent formations. The 65th Mechanized Brigade, previously part of the 17th Army Corps, has been transferred to the 12th Army Corps responsible for the defense of Kyiv, while the 151st Mechanized Brigade has taken its place within the 17th Army Corps.

The change became known through posts by the Nikopol City Council and the National Military History Museum of Ukraine, which published the current structure of both corps formations.

65th Mechanized Brigade has been deployed to the Zaporizhzhia direction since 2022, where it has been responsible for defense operations and also took part in the 2023 summer offensive along the Robotyne axis.

151st Mechanized Brigade was formed in 2023 in Dnipro. Its subordinate line battalions have since been used to reinforce existing units, and as a result, the brigade has never been deployed as a complete formation.
