3rd Army Corps Strengthened by New Artillery Brigade

The Ukrainian Ground Forces are establishing a new artillery unit, the 52nd Artillery Brigade, according to a fundraising announcement shared by volunteers supporting the formation.

The brigade is being created within the 3rd Army Corps, which is built around the 3rd Assault Brigade and commanded by Andriy Biletskyi.

This marks the 14th standard artillery brigade in the Ground Forces. Since all regular artillery brigades are being assigned to army corps, the branch now appears to have one more brigade than usual. This suggests that the 49th Artillery Brigade—originally formed in 2022, later disbanded, reactivated in 2024, and possibly disbanded again—may no longer exist.
