Originally of Armenian descent, he emerged as a public figure rallying support for foreign volunteers when the Reconnaissance Strike Group became an integrated Assault Company under the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. During his time under the brigade, he helped to command and coordinate assaults against Russian Forces in Belgorod Oblast. He has continued to lead the company until it was scaled into the command and combat core of the International Battalion of the Khartia Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard. As of February 2026, he has been the acting commander of the 23rd Assault Regiment as part of the 2nd Khartia Corps following the battalion’s expansion.
