Nemesis unit was formed on December 29, 2023 as the 412th Battalion of Unmanned Systems, with the idea to create a unit that would fight in a new way, with heavy drone bombers and its own culture and combat system, developed from scratch.
In August 2024, Nemesis battalion joined the Unmanned Systems Forces.
In November 2024, the well-known Asgard FPV group joined the Nemesis battalion, while the following month it was expanded to a regiment and Asgard unit up to a battalion.
In early 2025 the Darknode unit became the first in Ukraine and the world to use interceptor drones and successfully shot down a Shahed attack drone.
On October 2, 2025, it was announced that the regiment had been expanded to a brigade.
