218th Territorial Defense Battalion was a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
It was formed and assigned to the 125th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces, which would later be reformed as the 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade.
In 2024, the battalion was reassigned alongside the brigade to the Ukrainian Ground Forces. In 2025, the battalion became defunct and was reformed as the 1st Rifle Battalion of the 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade.
On December 2, 2025, the 1st Rifle Battalion of the brigade, which the battalion formed the basis of, was disbanded, and would be reassigned to other line battalions within the brigade.
