Special Operations Center West is a special-purpose formation of Ukrainian Special Operations Forces as 8th Special Purpose Brigade. In September 2023, the brigade was reformed as a regiment.

In 2014, soldiers of the regiment defended Donetsk, Luhansk and Kramatorsk airports, and also conducted operations behind enemy lines and acted as SAR unit.

In 2019, 8th Special Purpose Regiment was reformed as Special Operations Center West.
