Since 2023, the detachment has been carrying out combat missions in the Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
From February to March 2024, the Special Purpose Unmanned Systems Detachment operated under the Strategic Group Tavria. From May to June 2024, it was active in OTU Kharkiv. Since March 2024, it has been operating in OTU Zaporizhzhia, and since July 2024 — in the OTU Luhansk.
