Training Unit
Personnel Training Battalion is a unit of the Ukrainian National Guard.
The unit was formed shortly following the release of Mariupol defenders from the Azov Regiment in September 2022, which began to revive the combat capabilities of the unit.
It was responsible for training new and existing recruits as part of the Azov Regiment of the Ukrainian National Guard.
Between January and February 2023, it was expanded to the size of a battalion in response to the fact that the unit had been expanded from a regiment into a brigade.

The battalion is now responsible for training new and existing personnel within the framework of the 1st Azov Corps, including all the brigades under the wing of the structure.
