3rd Special Purpose Battalion

3rd Special Purpose Battalion is a third linear unit of Azov Brigade.

In May 2024, the battalion stated on its social media that the battalion had undergone reformation with the battalion’s soldiers continuing to perform combat missions in other units of the brigade; making the social media pages and the unit itself inactive from then on. The battalion was confirmed to have been disbanded on May 10, 2024, after its announcement – on December 23, 2024, the Azov Brigade had announced the creation of a new battalion which saw the reformatting of the 3rd Special Purpose Battalion into the 3rd International Battalion – ceasing to exist.
