About Unit

2nd Separate Brigade is a unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of Russian aggression, the brigade has played an active and vital role in defending Ukraine. Its personnel participated in the liberation of settlements occupied by separatist forces during both the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the full-scale invasion.Following the full-scale invasion, the brigade was swiftly deployed to some of the most critical and intense sectors of the front line. defending key areas in Donetsk region, Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Krasnohorivka, Urozhaine, Blahodatne, Makarivka, Sokil, Ocheretyne, Pavlivka,, Avdiivka, Nevelske, Karlivka. They also held the line at the Pivdennodonbaska 1 coal mine, a natural gateway on the path to Vuhledar and later they held Hrodivka and Pokrovsk.As of 2025 the guardsmen continue to defend both Donetsk and Sumy regions.
