About Unit

Dzhokhar Dudayev Battalion is a volunteer Chechen battalion fighting alongside Ukrainian forces since 2014. The commander became Brig. Gen. Isa Munayev, participant of both Chechen wars and commandant of Grozny. The unit participated in the number of battles. The commander of the Dzhokhar Dudayev Battalion was killed during the battle of Debaltseve in February 2015 and the unit was taken over Maj. Adam Osmaev, who leads the unit until today.

In February 2022, the battalion joined International Legion under the command of Ukrainian HUR – unit A3449.
