An American originally from the state of Washington, he served in the U.S. Airborne Forces and was part of the American contingent in Afghanistan. In March 2022 he travelled to fight for Ukraine in the International Legion of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. Since his service has reached the rank of Sergeant and is the first foreigner that has served in Ukraine’s military since the full scale invasion to have received Ukrainian citizenship.
