About Unit

Medical Group is a linear unit of the 3rd Assault Brigade.

The unit was formed in July 2025 on the basis of existing medical personnel in the 3rd Assault Brigade. This came after the expansion of the brigade’s former Medical Service to a battalion, and being reformed as a separate entity, becoming the 4th Medical Battalion and assigned to the newly formed 3rd Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

They are the dedicated medics of the brigade, responsible for the proper and thorough treatment and care of soldiers in each of the brigade’s line battalions. It is also responsible for the surgery of highly wounded soldiers. It is reported that 80% of those who were wounded in the brigade return to service without any life-changing injuries or disabilities.

Insignia

The insignia is a pointed chevron, in theme with the brigade’s symbology, in dark blue and golden yellow colors. The central imagery of the insignia is a stylized abbreviation for the unit’s name, alongside the three stripes, depicting a stylized Idea of the Nation symbol commonly associated with Ukrainian nationalism, military courage, and the brigade’s designation.
