He began his military service in 2008, taking part in manoeuvres in Crimea against the backdrop of Russia’s invasion of Georgia. At the start of the Russo-Ukrainian War, he was deployed to the Donetsk Oblast as part of the Anti-Terrorist Operation and defended the Kramatorsk airfield. From 2019 onwards, he took part in the Joint Forces Operation. He emphasised the importance of training soldiers under his command.
