About Unit

The unit was formed in 2015 as a separate tactical group named after Captain Volovyk, who died as a soldier of DUK defending Donetsk Airport. In 2022 the group was reformed as the 4th Separate Battalion of the Volunteer Corps and with the integration in the Armed Forces became the 1st Rifle Battalion of the 67th Mechanized Brigade.
