About Unit

475th Assault Regiment is an assault unit of the Ground Forces of Ukraine. CODE 92 began in 2022 as a reconnaissance platoon within the 92nd Mechanized Brigade, conducting missions on foot. By the end of that year, the unit had started incorporating drones into its operations, gradually shifting from ground-based reconnaissance to aerial surveillance. As the effectiveness of unmanned bombers became clear, the unit expanded to include a dedicated platoon of attack drones. In 2024, it grew into a strike company specializing in unmanned systems, and by January 2025 it had developed into a separate assault battalion.

In August 2025, the unit was expanded to a regiment.
