39th Motorized Battalion was a separate unit of the Ground Forces of Ukraine. The battalion was formed in May 2014 as 39th Battalion of Territorial Defense Dnipro-2 with residents from Dnipro Oblast. In November 2014, the unit was reorganized into the motorized battalion under the command of 55th Artillery Brigade.
In 2016, guards battalion of the Brigade was formed on its basis and the unit ceased to exist as a separate entity.
