217th Territorial Defense Battalion was a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
It was formed and assigned to the 125th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces, which would later be reformed as the 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade.
In 2024, the battalion was reassigned alongside the brigade to the Ukrainian Ground Forces. In 2025, the battalion became defunct and was reformed as the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade.
