Command of Air Assault Troops is the command of Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

Major General

Oleh Apostol

He graduated from the National Academy of the Ground Forces in 2008 and was deployed to Donbas at the onset of hostilities in 2014. He took part in the liberation of Slovyansk, the defense of Luhansk Airport, and other key battles in eastern Ukraine. In 2018, he commanded a battalion of the 80th Air Assault Brigade. During Russia’s full-scale invasion, he and his unit defended and helped liberate Mykolaiv Oblast. As of February 2024, he serves as the commander of the 95th Air Assault Brigade.
