Zaporizhzhia Territorial Defense Brigade Re-Numbered

The 110th Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces has been officially redesignated as the 260th Territorial Defense Brigade, the unit announced on its official social media channels. The change takes effect on November 1, 2025.
The redesignation forms part of broader reforms within the Territorial Defense Forces that MilitaryLand previously reported on September 16, 2025. The reorganization includes restructuring the brigade’s separate battalions into linear units while eliminating redundant management and command structures.
According to the 110th Territorial Defense Brigade’s Facebook page, since November 1, 2025, the brigade received a new designation as part of its reformation, becoming the 260th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade.
“Reorganization is a necessary step in strengthening the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine. All units retain their heritage, combat experience and high level of training – together we march and keep the enemy on the line of battle,” states the announcement.
About the brigade
The 260th Brigade was originally created in 2018 as a cadre unit and expanded into a full combat unit in February 2022. Four of its six subordinate battalions were formed from Ukrainians from occupied territories. On July 14, 2025, the brigade received the honorary title “Khortytsia.”
