Official: 124th Brigade becomes 34th Coastal Brigade
The 124th Territorial Defense Brigade, based in Kherson Oblast, has been officially reformed as the 34th Coastal Defense Brigade, as confirmed by the unit’s official social media accounts. MilitaryLand was the first to report on the creation of the 34th Coastal Defense Brigade on January 12, 2025. At that time, the unit had already received its new insignia, which was exclusively redrawn for the website by our contributor davomme.
The 34th Coastal Defense Brigade remains part of the 30th Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy and retains its military unit number. The reformation and approval of the new emblem are officially dated February 1, 2025.
Official statement:
Friends, an important moment has come in the life of our brigade. We have walked a long, heroic, and at the same time challenging path. A path that began back in 2020 when the 124th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade was formed. We were formed from motivated volunteers who knew what they were fighting for and did not wait for orders to defend their homeland. Together, we faced the enemy in the first days of the full-scale invasion.
In the spring of 2024, our history took a new turn – we became part of the 30th Marine Corps of Ukraine. And from February 1, 2025, our unit officially acquires a new name and insignia. From now on, we are the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
