Lasiychuk becomes the 7th Corps commander

Colonel Yevhen Lasiychuk has been appointed as the new commander of the Ukrainian 7th Rapid Response Corps within the Air Assault Forces. He replaces Colonel Valeryi Skred, who had been serving as acting commander while the corps’ officially designated leader, Colonel Valeriy Kurach, was overseeing the Vuhledar Tactical Group. He likely continued to lead the corps even after his dismissal from the position of commander of the tactical group.

As previously reported by MilitaryLand on April 22, 2025, the 7th Rapid Response Corps consists of the 25th Airborne Brigade, 77th Airmobile Brigade, 78th Air Assault Regiment, 79th Air Assault Brigade, and 81st Airmobile Brigade.

Colonel Yevhen Lasiychuk, a Hero of Ukraine, previously served as the commander of the 25th Airborne Brigade since 2023.
