Kazban is the new commander of Lyut Brigade
The police assault brigade has a new leadership.
Col. Maksym Kazban has been appointed commander of the Lyut Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian National Police, replacing Oleksandr Netrebko, who had led the brigade since its formation in 2023. The reason for the change in command has not been disclosed.
Kazban previously served as the deputy commander of the Lyut Assault Brigade since its inception and has been actively involved in Ukraine’s defense efforts since 2014.
Col. Vadym Zelenskyi has been appointed as the new deputy commander of the Lyut Assault Brigade. He served with the 79th Air Assault Brigade from 2014 to 2016 before joining the National Police.
