CODE 9.2 becomes a separate assault unit

The 475th Assault Battalion with reinforced drone unit.

CODE 9.2, an attack drone unit originally part of the 3rd Assault Battalion of the 92nd Assault Brigade, has now been restructured into a separate entity, the 475th Assault Battalion. Recognized as one of the most effective attack drone units in the Armed Forces, CODE 9.2 has successfully neutralized thousands of Russian military assets and personnel. The unit has carried out critical combat missions near Bakhmut, Lyman, and during the liberation of Kharkiv Oblast. Presently, they are deployed in the Kursk Oblast, continuing their mission with high efficiency.

CODE 92 initially started as a reconnaissance platoon, carrying out missions on foot. By the end of 2022, the unit began incorporating drones into their operations, gradually replacing ground-based reconnaissance with aerial surveillance. Recognizing the effectiveness of unmanned bombers, the unit expanded further, forming a dedicated platoon of attack drones to enhance their capabilities.

The 475th Assault Battalion “CODE 9.2” remains part of the 92nd Assault Brigade but operates as an independent unit. The battalion features a reinforced UAV component, and based on the available vacancies listed on the official site, it also includes a tank company, an artillery unit, and an anti-aircraft unit. According to the page, the unit is also set to receive M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
