The 425th Assault Regiment “Skelya” has been placed under the operational command of the National Guard’s 1st Azov Corps, the regiment’s head of communications, Oleksiy Bratuschak, said in an interview with ButusovPlus.

“Currently, we are carrying out combat orders under the operational command of the Azov Corps. Not all units have been transferred yet, but we understand that the process is underway to unite all our scattered battalions and separate detachments so that they can carry out missions on a single section of the front,” Bratuschak said.

According to Bratuschak, the regiment will not become part of the Azov structure but will instead be under the corps’ operational command. The 425th Regiment is not being incorporated into the National Guard; rather, it has been temporarily placed under the command of the 1st Azov Corps.

He also said the decision was made by the newly appointed Commander-in-Chief, Mykhailo Drapatyi, and that the regiment views the move positively.

The 425th Regiment will operate in the Dobropillya direction, where the Azov Corps is currently deployed.

Previously, the regiment operated in the area of responsibility of the 7th Air Assault Corps while remaining subordinate to the Operational Task Force East.
