2nd International Legion joins Kharkiv Corps

One of the first all-volunteer international units, part of the International Legion for the Defence of Ukraine, has been fully integrated into one of the newly established Army Corps as part of the ongoing reformation of the Ukrainian Defence Forces into a corps-brigade structure. MilitaryLand reported on the formation of many of these new corps, including the 16th Army Corps, also known as the Kharkiv Corps, which was established from numerous battle-hardened units.
On September 25, 2025, the 16th Army Corps, on their official media channels, published fighters belonging to the 2nd International Legion, also commonly known as the 2nd Infantry Battalion of the International Legion. This indicates that such a move has taken place of the unit being either temporarily attached or fully integrated into the structure of the newly formed Kharkiv Army Corps, as part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
