158th Brigade officially turns into mechanized unit

The command has decided to reform the final infantry brigade in the 150 series, transforming the 158th Infantry Brigade into a mechanized brigade. This change has been confirmed through newly created pages for both the brigade and its 1st Mechanized Battalion. The re-designation occurred despite a known shortage of vehicles across existing units.

It remains uncertain what equipment the brigade will receive. There is currently no information on whether it will be outfitted with infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, or MRAPs.
