155th Mechanized Brigade returns to Ukraine

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that Ukraine’s 155th Mechanized Brigade has completed its two-month training in France and is now returning home. France supported the brigade by providing both training and equipment for its mechanized battalions and other units.

However, the brigade did not receive all its training and equipment in France. Its tank battalion trained on Leopard 2A4 tanks in Poland, while an unspecified number of support personnel completed their training in Ukraine.

Volunteers closely connected to the 155th Mechanized Brigade confirmed that the second and third mechanized battalions are expected to return to Ukraine soon and be deployed to one of the most intense conflict zones.

155th Mechanized Brigade stands as the best-equipped brigade within the 150 series, featuring Leopard 2A4 tanks, VAB armored personnel carriers, and CAESAR howitzers. These assets position the brigade to play a vital role in upcoming Autumn and Spring operations, whether in defensive or offensive maneuvers.
