125th, 127th and 128th Brigade joined Ground Forces

Update (28.7.2024):

127th Territorial Defense Brigade also joined the Ground Forces of Ukraine, as per LobbyX server.

Original story:

125th and 128th Territorial Defense Brigades have been transitioned from the Territorial Defense Forces to the main fighting force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, specifically the Ground Forces. This information was disclosed through official media channels and the recruitment platform LobbyX.

125th Territorial Defense Brigade, established in Lviv in March 2022 as part of the Territorial Defense Forces, was transferred to the Ground Forces in February 2024. However, this change only came to light recently. Despite the transfer, the brigade retained its designation as a territorial defense unit and did not receive the necessary equipment for mechanized operations, nor did it acquire anti-tank or anti-aircraft units.

128th Territorial Defense Brigade was formed at the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion and was transferred to the Ground Forces, likely around the same time as the 125th Brigade. Despite the transfer, it also retained its designation as a territorial defense unit.

are these pro-territorial brigade have enough artillery for support?

Ken

This means nothing if they’re not committed into combat. Better not telegraph this at all.

Ser

Both brigades are active and have been successfully fighting in the hottest spots of the Donetsk front, including Bakhmut, for almost three years.
