The M1117 ASV entered American service as a military police vehicle with IED protection and all around protection to 12.7 API. In 2024 The United States began delivering them to Ukraine when they were initially handed over to the 425th Skeyla, from there more units received the vehicle, especially the 154th mechanized brigade who used them in larger numbers especially in their first deployment to the Kursk and Sumy defense in 2025. The vehicle is equipped with an electronically powered turret armed with a 50 caliber M2HB and a MK19 40mm automatic grenade launcher.
