He was born in Dnipro in 1970. From 2011 to 2015, he commanded the 17th Tank Brigade, during which the brigade experienced a period of decline. In 2015, he ran for the Kryvyi Rih city council as a candidate from a pro-Russian party. At the beginning of 2022, he served as the deputy commander of Operational Command East. He later became the commander of OSUV Tavria, leading the Ukrainian counter-offensive in 2023 on the Orikhiv axis. In 2024, he was appointed commander of the 9th Army Corps and OTU Donetsk, but resigned from the latter in June 2025. In October 2025, he resumed command of the 9th Army Corps.
