He graduated from the National Academy of the Ground Forces in 2009 after beginning his military education at a military lyceum and the Odesa Institute of Ground Forces, which was later relocated to Lviv. Following graduation, he served for five years with the Training Center in Desna before transferring to the 80th Air Assault Brigade in 2013. During the outbreak of the Russo-Ukrainian War in 2014, he deployed to eastern Ukraine as part of a Battalion Tactical Group, participating in combat operations around Bilohorivka, Shipylivka, and Lysychansk during the War in Donbas.
At the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, he was serving as Deputy Chief of Staff of a Battalion Tactical Group and immediately entered combat operations after the planned training rotation was interrupted by the invasion. He later rose through the ranks to command the 25th Airborne Brigade, leading the unit during some of the fiercest fighting on the Pokrovsk direction.
Under his leadership, the brigade successfully defended positions near Tonenke in March 2024, inflicting heavy losses on Russian forces. A recipient of all three classes of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, he has consistently emphasized the importance of disciplined leadership, technological adaptation, and well-trained personnel as the defining factors of success in modern warfare.
