About Unit

The “Raid” unit was created in August 2024 as the 413th Battalion of Unmanned systems, established from a group led by Yevhen Karas, formerly deputy commander of the 14th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Drones.

Focused on the effective use of UAVs for reconnaissance and target engagement with minimal risk to personnel, the battalion first saw combact in the Kursk region, and then was redeployed in Donetsk oblast.

In October 2025 the battalion was expanded to a regiment, and started conducting more and more deep strike operations in cooperation with other units of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
