Chernihiv Company is a unit of Special Tasks Patrol Police and one of the first volunteer units created in 2014. The unit was formed as a volunteer battalion on April 16 in Chernihiv Oblast, primarily by the members of 14th Maidan Self-Defense unit (prominent first-line Maidan volunteers consisting of Desna Ultras). The battalion was tasked to protect public order in Chernihiv Oblast, but in June dispatched to Donbas. The unit closely cooperated with Ukrainian Armed Forces, and its success let Russia declare a reward for every killed member of Chernihiv Battalion.
On June 18, 2015, the then head of Luhansk Oblast accused the members of Chernihiv and Tornado Battalions of criminal activity and demanded to disarm these units. Tornado was disbanded on the same day, Chernihiv not. In late 2015, the battalion was reformed to a company
As of April 2022, the unit still exist and continue to serve in Chernihiv Oblast.

Unofficially known as M81, was default US camouflage pattern in 90’s and later in other states as well. Ukraine uses a locally made version with several adjustments that resembles the Croatian woodland pattern as well as standard version.
Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) is the predecessor of BDU. It is likely a locally made and not really common in Ukraine. Works decently in nature environment but is several years behind the current standard.
Locally made Flecktarn uniform is very popular among volunteers across Ukraine. It’s cheap and widely available. The pattern works well in the various environment.
Locally made Multicam uniform is a cheap and popular variant for soldiers in Ukraine. The camouflage is designed for usage in various environments.
