Bohdan Company

Bohdan Company is a unit of Special Tasks Patrol Police, created in June 2014 in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. Unlike most other volunteer units of Police, Bohdan company was formed mostly from the disbanded local detachment of Berkut. The commander openly criticized the order to disband Berkut and blamed the government for the situation in Donbas. Nevertheless, the unit cooperated with self-defense volunteers from Khmelnytskyi Oblast and some members later joined the Bohdan Company.

On June 13, 2022, Bohdan Company celebrated its 8th anniversary and continues to perform assigned tasks in the east.

Bohdan company’s page has been added to our site. The page contains unit’s history, equipment, uniforms and warpath. Bohdan company Bohdan company is a volunteer police unit established in 2014. Unlike most of the volunteer units, Bohdan was from exBerkut officers and volunteers from the police.

Uniforms

Flecktarn

Locally made Flecktarn uniform is very popular among volunteers across Ukraine. It’s cheap and widely available. The pattern works well in the various environment.

Tigr

Russian version of tigerstripe camouflage pattern, known as Tigr (tiger) or Shadow. The variant was worn only by Ukrainian Berkut.

Woodland

Unofficially known as M81, was default US camouflage pattern in 90’s and later in other states as well. Ukraine uses a locally made version with several adjustments that resemble the Croatian woodland pattern.

UCP

Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) is digital camouflage and not commonly used in Ukraine. The pattern performs well in the urban environment but general performance was many times questioned.
