Shaman Special Unit

Shaman Battalion is a special operations unit under the Main Intelligence Directorate.

It was formed on February 23, 2022, on the basis of one of the companies of the 10th Special Forces Detachment. The fighters of the battalion possess exceptional skills in diving, parachuting, and mountaineering. Some of them have previously worked in Afghanistan alongside American and British colleagues. From the few interviews available, it is known that some of their operations have been conducted not only behind enemy lines but also deep into enemy territory.

Insignia

The unit’s emblem and shoulder patch are inspired by the video game “Call of Duty”. The design features a white skull on a black background, symbolizing values closely tied to the game’s theme. In battle, warriors are guided by honor and unwavering commitment to defeating evil.
