Two more units join the 17th Army Corps

New information has emerged regarding the 17th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. According to posts published on the unit’s official Facebook page, two additional brigades have been assigned to the corps: the 44th Artillery Brigade and the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade. Notably, the 44th Artillery Brigade is the first veteran artillery brigade to be subordinated under a corps-level formation.
The 17th Army Corps is now confirmed to command ten units: three mechanized brigades, one mountain brigade, one artillery brigade, three territorial defense brigades, a drone regiment, and a drone battalion. This makes it the largest army corps within the Ukrainian Ground Forces at present.
However, some of these units may not be structurally subordinated to the 17th Army Corps and are instead temporarily assigned under its command. As corps formations assume responsibility for sections of the contact line, not all units can be rotated immediately, leading to temporary assignments under the designated corps. These units are expected to be replaced by permanent structural units of the corps in the near future.
