Ukrainian Army reforms the Reserve Corps

Ukrainian command has decided to reform the strategic reserve of the Ukrainian Army and form 11th Army Corps on its basis.

The Reserve Corps, initially established in 2016 as the strategic reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, underwent a significant shift following the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022. With the loss of its original purpose, the reserve force transitioned into functioning as a standard army corps. Against this backdrop, the decision to formalize the creation of the 11th Army Corps is not only logical but also anticipated. The change was announced on via the official social media channels.

The 11th Army Corps is composed of four mechanized brigades, one artillery brigade, and one tank brigade.
