Despite Ukrainian officials said numerous times that Ukrainian volunteers had been withdrawn from the combat area, Ukrainian Volunteer Corps (DUK) units remain in Donbas.

One of the members of the Right Sector posted photos of an oath taken by one of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps units on social media. They are stationed in Avdiivka, Donetsk Region, alongside 72nd Mechanized Brigade. There is also a picture of soldiers in full combat gear somewhere in the Joints Forces Operation Zone (formerly known as ATO Zone).

The soldiers should belong to the 1st Assault Company, which is the most trained and equipped combat unit of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps. The soldiers have been deployed to Donbas since the very begging of the war in 2014.
