Operation Report – Week #35

Operation reports are summary of what happened in Joint forces operation zone (previously known as Anti-Terrorist Operation zone or ATO) during the last week. The report includes information about combat activity, casualties, and other military related stuff.

Combat

Sporadic shelling and firefights were reported from the following places:

• Krymske
• Svitlodarsk

Casualties

September 1, 2018

• n/a (54th Intelligence Battalion) a soldier. He died during engineering work on one of the frontline fortifications near Svitlodarsk. Another soldier was wounded.

Military

Russian T-62 on the move

Several users on Twitter were following a train of dozens of T-62s heading from eastern Russia to the borders of Ukraine. They were last seen in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, near Ukrainian border.

Others

Zacharchenko assassinated

The leader of Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR), Alexander Zakharchenko, was assassinated in Donetsk. He was killed by a bomb in restaurant Separ.

Assasination attempt on #Zakharchenko was successful. His death was confirmed. Ironically, he was killed in the restaurant “Separ”(separatist).
