Combat
Sporadic shelling and firefights were reported from the following places:
- Shyrokyne
- Marinka
- Avdiivka
- Svitlodarsk
- Horlivka
- Donetsk area
- Mariupol area
Casualties
August 13, 2018
- Mykhaylo Yarovyy (28th Mechanized Brigade) a regular soldier, died near Marinka, Donetsk region.
August 14, 2018
- Fedir Balakhchi (503rd Marine Corps Battalion) a senior marine. He was killed by enemy artillery in a vicinity of Hnutove near Mariupol, Donetsk Region.
August 18, 2018
- Vasylʹ Kryshchuk (14th Mechanized Brigade) a senior soldier of the 3rd battalion, participant of the peacekeeping operation in Iraq, previously served in Sich volunteer battalion. He was killed during an attack by the enemy on Ukrainian observation point near Zolote, Luhansk Region.
- Vladyslav Bondarenko (92th Mechanized Brigade) – a commander of the machine squad. He was killed by a sniper near Avdiivka.
