Casualties
January 1, 2019
- Golubev Nikolay (10th Mountain Brigade) a senior soldier. He was killed by enemy BMP-1 during an assault on Ukrainian outpost near Novotoshkivkse.
- Straw Ivan (Myrotvorets Regiment) a senior police sergeant. He volunteered in 2014 to Kyivschyna Battalion. He committed suicide at a checkpoint near Kreminna.
January 5, 2019
- Tikhonov Yuriy (10th Mountain Brigade) a regular soldier. He died due to cardiac arrest in the area of Joint forces operation zone.
- Makarov Yerest (Security Service of Ukraine) an employee. He died when a grenade exploded in his apartment in Mariupol. Preliminary investigation revealed he was drunk.
