New special purpose brigade appeared in the Army

The State Transport Special Service (DSST), a formation dedicated to providing reliable and stable transport support for the Ukrainian Army, has established the 7th Special Purpose Brigade. While this may seem unusual at first, it’s a logical progression: each DSST brigade has maintained a separate assault company, some of which engaged in direct combat, including deployments to Bakhmut in 2022 and 2023. These assault units were formed from rear-echelon personnel who volunteered for direct combat roles. The new brigade likely consolidates these assault companies under a unified command, though this is yet to be confirmed.

The unit received a military unit number T0960 and motto “Discover and Destroy”. The commander of the brigade is Vladimir Paraschuk.

The 7th Special Purpose Brigade is the mysterious unit that the Head of Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, presented cars back in June 2024.
