National Guard deployed to Kyiv dam

The Kyiv Hydroelectric plant is under heavy guard.

The 1st Presidential Operational Brigade named after Hetman Petro Doroshenko has been deployed to Kyiv’s Hydroelectric Power Plant.

The unit’s task is to ensure protection of the object and prevent intrusions of sabotage groups. They also patrol the nearby area and randomly check passing vehicles. The servicemen are heavy armed and photos show at least one Kozak-2 armored vehicle on site.

Ukrainian National Police unit has been deployed alongside the National Guard to the area.

Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant is located in Vyshhorod, roughly 15km from the city center.
