K-2 battalion becomes a regiment

The Ground Forces of Ukraine have established a new unit, the 20th Regiment of Unmanned Drones K-2, built on the foundation of the renowned K-2 Mechanized Battalion from the 54th Mechanized Brigade. The formation of this regiment was announced by the unit’s commander, Hero of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Kyrylo Veres. The primary mission of the newly created regiment will be to safeguard infantry lives and deliver critical support to combat units.

The regiment operates as an independent entity, having separated from the structure of the 54th Mechanized Brigade. Its military unit number remains undisclosed at this time.
