159th Infantry Brigade becomes mechanized

The Ukrainian command has decided to reform the 159th Infantry Brigade into a mechanized unit. While the decision has not yet been publicly announced, it has been confirmed by multiple volunteers closely affiliated with the brigade, as well as by former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko. He recently handed over donated equipment to the brigade and took a photo with its flag, which identifies the brigade as mechanized.

A gift certificate issued by the brigade was published by a volunteer on social media, further confirming that the 159th Brigade is now mechanized.

Additionally, the 159th Brigade received an updated insignia featuring a yellow cross in the background, similar to that of the 144th Infantry Brigade. The military unit number of the unit remains unknown.
