128th Mountain Assault Brigade Forms 3rd Mountain Assault Battalion

MilitaryLand has obtained a gift certificate indicating that the 1st Rifle Battalion of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade of the 17th Army Corps has been reorganized into the 3rd Mountain Assault Battalion.

As a result, the brigade now consists of three line mountain assault battalions, along with the 15th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion. Based on MilitaryLand’s research, the reorganization appears to be recent. As of September, the unit was still referred to as the 1st Rifle Battalion on the brigade’s official social media accounts.

The fate of the 2nd Rifle Battalion is currently unknown, but given the recent reorganization of the 1st Rifle Battalion, it is likely that it will also undergo some form of transformation.
