Stridsvagn 122

Stridsvagn 122 (Strv 122) is Sweden’s main battle tank, based on the German Leopard 2A5 but adapted for Scandinavian conditions. Introduced in the late 1990s, it features enhanced armor, advanced targeting systems, and strong mobility. Entering service with Ukraine’s 21st Mechanized Brigade in 2023 the small force of ten vehicles have never seen service in any other brigade, engaging in combat in the 2023 counteroffensive around Bakhmut as well the Kursk offensive operations in 2024.
