He began his military career in the 1990s as a Platoon Commander in the 25th Airborne Brigade. Following hostilities in Donbas, his unit was deployed near Kramatorsk and was surrounded. In order to save people, as a young Lieutenant, he took out a grenade and threatened to blow himself up along with the crowd, allowing the column to withdraw. He has gone through all stages of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict and continues to fight during the full-scale invasion. He was later a Battery Commander, a Battalion Commander, and the Chief of Artillery in the 46th Airmobile Brigade. He was also wounded several times, but later returned to the ranks and was awarded the third degree of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky. He was appointed as the commander of the 147th Artillery Brigade in 2025.
