День 78 вторгнення - Підсумок
Підсумки 78-го дня російського вторгнення в Україну станом на 22:00 - 12 травня 2022 року (за київським часом).
Підсумки дня:
Російські війська захопили місто Рубіжне, в той час як українські війська перекидають додаткові підкріплення в район Сіверського Донця.
Білорусь продовжує стягувати війська до кордону з Україною. Ситуація у Придністров'ї залишається без змін.
Харківський фронт
включає територію Харкова та Чугуєва
здебільшого хмарно. ~22 °C
Обстріл: Руські Тушки, Питомник
У Харківській області не відбулося жодних змін на місцях.
Сіверський Донець
включає територію Слов'янська, Краматорська та Бахмута
частково сонячно. ~24 °C
Обстріли: Олександрівка, Лиман, Новоселівка, Тошківка
Українські війська відступили з Рубіжного і Воєводівки в напрямку Сєвєродонецька і Привілля. Під час відступу українські силовики підірвали міст, що з'єднує Воєводівку і Сєвєродонецьк. Це підтвердив голова Сєвєродонецької міської ради.
Російські війська спробували прорвати українські позиції в районі Новоселівки, але атака була відбита. Тривають бої в районі Олександрівки та Шандриголового.
Деякі підрозділи 58-ї механізованої бригади були передислоковані з Сумської області для підтримки українських підрозділів, дислокованих у цьому районі.
Південно-Східний фронт
включає Донецьку та Запорізьку області
частково сонячно. ~26 °C
Донецька область
Обстріл: Мар'їнка, Авдіївка
Російські війська атакували українські позиції на Зеленому Полі. Атака була успішно відбита. Російсько-терористичні війська продовжують безуспішні штурми українських позицій під Мар'їнкою та Авдіївкою.
Запорізька область
Обстріл: Оріхів, Гуляйполе
У Запорізькій області не відбулося жодних змін на місцях.
Азовсталь
включає комбінат "Азовсталь" у Маріуполі
частково сонячно. ~21 °C
Російські війська увірвалися на територію комбінату "Азовсталь" і захопили кілька будівель на околиці. Ввечері українським військам вдалося відтіснити ворога назад.
Херсонський фронт
включає околиці Херсона та Миколаєва
здебільшого сонячно. ~27 °C
Миколаївська область
У Миколаївській області не відбулося жодних змін на місцях.
Херсонська область
У Херсонській області ситуація не змінилася. За повідомленнями, тривають запеклі бої на кордоні Херсонської та Миколаївської областей.

There’s no confirmation from Ukrainian officials about retreating from Rubizhne.
Yes, the bridges were destroyed, but there’s no issue for defenders of Rubizhne to cross the Borova river and reach Siverodonetsk if necessary, see for instance

Well, I guess it’s better if more money will go actually to Ukraine and not to someone’s pockets. One week delay won’t really change much at this point. I just hope that all this won’t go into usual US bureaucratic shit with months of waiting.

Americans spent $2 trillion and still lost the war in Afghanistan. So trying to beat Russia for just $40 billion is like a joke.
Technically it was not the war that was lost in Afghanistan. Americans lost a dream to turn Afghanistan into a democracy. Situation in Ukraine is the opposite. The West want to protect an existing democracy, not to establish a new one. This why they win.

In earlier threads there was a Problem, because the Oleksandrivka on the coast to the east of Kherson and the Oleksandrivka further north, between Kherson and Snihurivka got mixed up.
Yesterday, I made a similiar mistake and mistook Bairak in Sumy Oblast for the Bairak in Kharkiv Oblast.
